About Us

The Black Public Relations Society of Washington D.C. (BPRSDC) was established in 2001 to unite and increase the active participation and employment of African-Americans in the professional practice and study of public relations by providing educational and professional development, mentoring and networking opportunities, as well as creating alliances with other professional organizations and recognizing accomplished leaders and professionals in the industry.

 

Activities include:

 

  • Educational panels and seminars

  • Skills development workshops and boot camps

  • Networking opportunities

  • Mentorship

  • Job preparation and announcements

 

As a regional chapter of the National Black Public Relations Society, BPRS DC has become the premier professional association for communications practitioners of color here in our city.
